ForeGolf were there showcasing a different type of driving. We brought the tour truck and all the equipment and set up “The Fastest Driver Competition”. We were part of the outdoor exhibition area and even the thought of meeting Clarkson, Hammond and Captain Slow couldn’t keep the cold away, the temperature dipped to -2 at one point.
It was a great four days and we were kept busy with queues of people waiting to try their luck. We had our net fixed over the side of the truck and our Matt-I launch monitor to tell us the speed and distance of the shot using photo-metrics. This then takes a photo of the ball and records the speed, spin and distance, by late Sunday night we had over 5,900 hits into the net.

Eoin Casey - Distance 270.2 yards carry with ball speed of 162.6 MPH.
Sunday 30th - Winner of Cobra custom fitted driver.
Adrian Grealy - Distance 287.4 yards carry with ball speed of 171.6 MPH.
Winner of Guess the Ball in the Bag Competition
Alan Rust, guessed 464 which won him a new set of custom fitted Taylor Made Irons.The correct answer was 465 balls.
We had great fun and managed to speak to everybody who came on board the truck. It’s always interesting to talk to golfers no matter where we meet them and already quite a few people have been down to see us.
We are looking forward to doing some more big events like this, we had hoped to get The Stig onto the truck but he was too busy driving around the stage - if only he knew that ForeGolf actually have the fastest drivers in the world.
